NAATI CCL Test Format

The NAATI CCL (Credentialed Community Language) exam lasts about 20 minutes and is available in several languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Nepali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Gujarati. It includes two recorded dialogues that reflect everyday situations in Australia, such as healthcare visits, legal discussions, social services, or education-related conversations.
Each dialogue contains around 300 words, split evenly between English and the chosen language, and broken into segments of 30–35 words. After listening to each segment, candidates interpret it into the other language. If needed, they can request one repetition per dialogue.
Scores are based on:
